Namaskar

It is our constant endeavour at The Shriram Millennium School, Faridabad, to imbibe in our children the core values of Sensitivity, Integrity, Pursuit of Excellence and Pride in one’s Own Heritage. These are intrinsic not only in our day to day conduct at school and academic curriculum but also in the co – curricular opportunities that form a part of the diverse education that the school offers to develop well rounded, confident personalities, equipped to know both themselves and the world outside as best as they can at their age. Circle Time, DEAR (Drop Everything and Read), Discovery Hour, Life Skills, DEED and group sports are some of the programmes that our children look forward to. Activities are both competitive and non – competitive, individual as well as team, intra and inter school. They cover a range – sporting, visual arts, performing arts, writing and literary, debating and hands on activities that emerge from the subjects taught at school. These are in addition to the societies, After School Activity, leadership, community service and environment related initiatives.

The children are provided with opportunities to interact with various artists under the Performing Arts and Visual Arts Programme. The Check – it – Out gives them a glimpse of Indian art and culture, be it through SPIC MACAY, Dastan – e – Goi or the Art First programme. The Form Morning ensures participation of each child through productions based on themes chosen to ensure that they are exposed to various genres of literature. As part of our community outreach programme, the Shri Sahyog and Joy of Giving, our children have initiated various collection drives be it through Bake Sale or old newspapers and support NGO’s like Tender Hearts, Able Charities, Voice of Voiceless and Green – o – Bin, to name a few. The CAN Support Walk for a Cause saw our children spreading awareness and support for cancer patients.

Talks and workshops by resource people and speakers for parents, teachers and children through the year. These help equip them with strategies to deal with topics related to academics, co – curricular as well health and well being.

With a newly formed Parent Teacher Association, we continue our three way partnership between parent, school and children. As a new initiative, we have registered with the Behtar India Programme in association with NDTV – DHFL Pramerica and are keen to do our bit for Health, Hygiene and Environment. We take pride in hosting The Mad About Series, an annual theme based mega event where the entire Shri community comes together. After the success of Mad About Science, Books and India, we are extremely excited about this year’s Mad About Environment. As a school committed to contribute towards our environment, we take various initiatives to spread awareness by performing Nukkad Nataks, Cleanliness Drives, Tree Plantation and Waste Management. Be it celebrating a festival in an eco friendly manner or participating in a walk against pollution, we take a keen interest in participating in all campaigns towards a better environment.

Lastly, with changing times, we too are going paperless and digital. With more and more people using smart phones and tablets, information is a click away. With the launch of our new mobile app, our parents too have access to all information that they might need.
