Hands-on and application-based learning, with the child at the centre of our curriculum is the principle followed at our school and is the basis of our teaching-learning process. The curriculum is designed and lessons are planned keeping in mind varying learning styles of the children and are an amalgamation of different media to appeal to all types of learners. The pedagogy focuses on developing necessary skills in the children that enable them to be lifelong learners and encourages high order thinking through collaborative and experiential learning opportunities within and outside the classrooms.
At The Shriram Millennium Schools, the student’s academic progress and skill development in co-curricular initiatives is reviewed and discussed with the child and the parents at the end of each term through detailed assessment reports.
We do not have a formal test/examination system till Class V, however, the teaching learning process provides for ongoing assessments and evaluation of the required skills through hands on activities and projects. In Classes IV & V, only mathematical skills are marked and graded.
Subsequently, formal assessments will begin only from Middle School (Class VI) through planned Formative and Summative assessments involving Cluster tests, projects, presentations and quizzes, which aim at assessing the skills required for each subject.
A record of the overall progress of the child in academic, physical and cognitive skills is maintained by the teachers and teaching learning strategies are devised for enhancing the child’s abilities.
In Senior school, assessment will follow the requirements of the Board to which the school is affiliated.

The most important criteria for selection of a candidate is that they should have a positive attitude and should love children. They must exhibit a strong value system, be open minded and willing to learn. The applicant has to send the resume / CV and if there is a vacancy, is called for a first level interaction with a panel. This is followed by demo classes and filling in of the Personal Data Form. After these stages the candidate is required to appear for an interaction with the Director. Based on these, an assessment is made of the applicant’s subject expertise, ability to communicate that knowledge given the class dynamics and the qualities exhibited that are valued in a Shri educator.
