There are regular Parent Teacher Meetings held in school. While formal report cards are given twice a year, a system of non-reporting Parent Teacher Meets is also followed. Parents can also meet the specific teachers through a prior appointment.
The school communicates with parents through the portal, website, Facebook, newsletters, broadcast messages, e-mail and school diaries. Scheduled communication between teachers and parents includes parent-teacher meetings, end-of-the-term reporting and meeting by prior appointment. Apart from these scheduled meetings, teachers meet with parents whenever a need arises, and much informal communication takes place at the many school events. The school website offers a vast amount of information on the school and its programs and events. Workplan, weekly updates, homework, assignments, worksheets, syllabus, date sheet are also put up on the Portal, which the students are expected to log on to regularly. It is strongly recommended that parents log on to the website and social media pages to remain aware of the school events.
Scheme of Work (SOW), Home Connect Letter (HCL) and home assignments will also be put up on the portal which the students and parents are expected to log on to regularly.
The schools encourage the involvement of parents. There is an active Parent Teacher Association (PTA) which meets periodically to discuss the infrastructural and academic issues of the schools. Suggestions are taken seriously, and solutions are incorporated. They are also encouraged to volunteer for and work with the school in holding workshops, escorting students for trips and taking the initiative for any other program they feel fit.

Our school follows the principle of hands-on and application-based learning, with the child at the centre of our curriculum. Our teaching-learning process is designed to cater to varying learning styles and promotes inquiry. We use a mix of different media to appeal to all types of learners. Our pedagogy focuses on developing essential skills that enable children to be lifelong learners and encourages high order thinking through collaborative and experiential learning opportunities within and outside the classrooms.
At TSMS, student assessment is integral to the learning process, focusing on three key types: assessment for learning (ongoing feedback to guide progress), assessment of learning (measuring achievement at specific points), and assessment as learning (promoting student reflection and ownership of learning). These assessments are continuous and diverse, ensuring a holistic evaluation of students through monitoring (ongoing observation), documenting (portfolios, journals), measuring (formal assessments like projects and presentations), and reporting (interim and semester reports to stakeholders). This approach supports both academic growth and personal development.
In line with the school’s philosophy, The Shriram Millennium Schools provide inclusive education and ensure that every child is sensitised to appreciate and respect differences. The school encourages all children, regardless of their differences, to achieve their full potential in an inclusive, nurturing, and safe environment. The students are engaged in various learning opportunities to provide and create support systems for those who are different from the expected norm.
The Shriram Millennium schools acknowledge the needs of special children and endeavour to provide opportunities for inclusive education for children who have difficulty coping with the regular curriculum but do not require the facilities of a special school.
The school has a dedicated Special Education Needs department, which works towards meeting the needs of differently abled children so that every child gets learning opportunities that build and enhance their required skills.

With the belief in the whole-child approach, we at TSMS ensure that every student receives a well-rounded education. To foster holistic development, we offer a diverse range of co-curricular activities that go beyond academics. These activities include performing arts, visual arts, music, dance, physical education, and sports, each thoughtfully designed to nurture the potential of each child. By engaging in these activities, students not only discover and develop their individual talents, but also cultivate essential life skills such as creativity, collaboration, communication, and leadership. Physical activities promote fitness and well-being, while the arts encourage self-expression and emotional intelligence. This integrated approach nurtures both academic achievement and personal growth, ensuring that each child develops into a confident and resilient individual.
In line with our belief in a balanced approach, the academic curriculum and co-curricular activities are designed to offer varied learning experiences. We aim for academic excellence while also fostering skills in diverse fields that build confidence and shape a well-rounded personality. Both academics and co-curricular engagements hold equal significance. While excelling academically is crucial, we recognize that true holistic development comes from nurturing students’ creative, physical, and emotional growth. Through our wide range of co-curricular options, including performing arts, sports, and visual arts, students cultivate essential life skills that enhance their overall educational journey. This balanced model ensures students are equipped for success in both academics and personal development, consistently achieving excellent board results and gaining admission to prestigious colleges both in India and abroad.

The most important criterion for the selection of a candidate is that they should have a positive attitude and should love children. They must exhibit a strong value system, be open-minded and willing to learn. The applicant has to send the resume / CV and, if there is a vacancy, is called for a first-level interaction with a panel. This is followed by demo classes and filling in the Personal Data Form. After these stages, the candidate is required to appear for an interaction with the Director. Based on these, an assessment is made of the applicant’s subject expertise, ability to communicate that knowledge given the class dynamics and the qualities exhibited that are valued in a Shri educator.
The safety and security of the children is of paramount importance to the school and a host of stringent measures, as laid down in our well-defined Safety procedures, have been implemented on the campus and in school buses.
The school has round-the-clock security in the campus. Our trained and efficient security personnel closely monitor the entry and exit of all visitors in the school. Parents or authorized caretakers are required to present the I-card issued by the school at the entrance to pick up their wards from the school or designated bus stops. All visitors are allowed entry by prior appointment and are issued Visitor cards/gate passes. CCTVs and necessary fire safety equipment are installed all across the school campus and in school buses. Evacuation drills, following the guidelines provided by the state and district authorities, are conducted regularly and all staff and children are sensitized to the importance and need for following safety procedures.
The school has a well-equipped infirmary with trained nurses and, an ambulance with required medical equipment to ensure swift medical aid. All buses have first aid kits and the support staff as well as the teachers are trained to administer immediate medical relief as required.
