Play Areas
We at TSMS I P Jr. have always considered the play space environment as a “third educator” for what it offers kids in terms of growth. We ensure that the environmental elements provide the children with the challenges they need to boost their self-confidence, resilience, and understanding of their abilities with the support of:
- Comfort: Areas that offer emotional and physical comfort will attract the children and allow them to feel at ease when they learn and play.
- Sense of place: Children who connect with their surroundings feel comfortable enough to engage and learn. Adding elements related to the surrounding area may give the children a better sense of anchoring.
- Stimulating resources: Natural elements provide opportunities for exploration.
- Challenges: An organised play environment offers age-appropriate challenges that allow children to test their abilities. Equipment that allows children to balance and climb helps them practice skill development and critical thinking.
